Onyx has officially launched its Goliath mainnet, bringing with it live liquid staking for XCN, the ability to connect with Ethereum, and swapping capabilities. This launch is a major step forward for the Onyx ecosystem.
Onyx has officially launched the Goliath mainnet, marking a major step for the protocol.
This new blockchain technology can handle as many as 100,000 transactions every second. It uses a secure system called asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance to quickly confirm those transactions.
As an analyst, I’m pleased to announce that Goliath is now live within the Onyx App. This means our users can immediately take advantage of features like XCN bridging, liquid staking, and token swaps. It’s a seamless integration and we’re excited about the added functionality.

Goliath Mainnet Goes Live With Full App Integration
Onyx announced the Goliath mainnet launch via its official blog and X account.
Goliath is now live! After testing, the network is officially launching, and this week’s update adds key features like bridging, staking, and swapping directly within the Onyx App.
The protocol notes that XCN will remain the native Ethereum ERC-20 token by default.
Goliath works alongside it, not as a replacement.
This strategy is designed to boost XCN’s importance on both networks. The team behind Onyx explains that it’s a network that can grow and operate independently, while also working well with the current Ethereum system.
Onyx rigorously tested Goliath through a series of networks in 2025 before officially launching it. This launch follows the technical plan detailed in the project’s whitepaper.
Onyx highlights several practical applications for its technology, such as simplifying international payments, tracking goods as they move through supply chains, and improving the accuracy of healthcare record reviews.
We’re excited to share that the Goliath network is now running and fully connected within the app, alongside support for standard Ethereum tokens (ERC-20).

XCN Liquid Staking and Ethereum Bridge Now Operational
Liquid staking on Goliath is now fully live through the updated Onyx App.
Users can earn rewards simply by holding XCN. These rewards increase automatically over time, and you don’t need to take any action to receive them.
When a user unstakes, they receive their XCN plus all accumulated rewards in one transaction.
This connection allows for easy transfer of XCN between Ethereum and Goliath. It works by directly linking the two systems, so XCN can move smoothly between the standard Ethereum format and Goliath’s own format.
Onyx highlights that its ability to work with other systems is a central part of its design, not just something extra. This allows people who already use Ethereum to access Goliath without having to leave the Ethereum world completely.
Swap functionality is also available within Goliath.
As an analyst, I can confirm the Onyx App now allows users to swap between XCN, ETH, and USDC when operating on the Goliath network. This is a really useful addition, giving those already holding these cryptocurrencies a way to easily interact with DeFi features.
XCN Price Reflects Broader Crypto Market Pressure
Despite the mainnet launch, XCN has not escaped the broader market downturn.
Bitcoin’s price recently fell to about $66,000, and most other cryptocurrencies (altcoins) followed suit. As of CoinGecko data, XCN is currently trading at $0.005056.
The token recorded a 1.15% price decline over the past 24 hours.
The price decreased by 3.26% in the last week. Over the past 24 hours, $9.01 million worth of it was traded. This change seems to be part of a general market trend, not a problem specific to this project.
Moving forward, Onyx plans to concentrate on attracting more validators and building a stronger community of developers.
We’re also planning to add features that allow the system to work with other blockchains and handle a growing number of real-world uses. The recent launch of Goliath is the first step towards making those plans a reality.
