PlayStation VR2 launched in February 2023 for $549.99 and received a mixed response. Reviewers loved the technology itself β features like haptic feedback in the headset, eye-tracking, a high-quality OLED display, and the innovative Sense controllers β but the initial selection of games was a letdown. While Horizon: Call of the Mountain was a standout title, there weren’t any other major first-party games available at launch. Since then, popular third-party games like The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, Beat Saber, and The Midnight Walk have been released for PS VR2, the platform still really needs some essential first-party games to truly shine.
