At Minecraft LIVE 2025, a new mob called happy ghasts was introduced, and they will receive their own content update. To make friends with these friendly ghasts, players must discover a new block found naturally in the Nether – the dried ghast block. Alternatively, players can craft this block using bone blocks and tears obtained from the Nether. After returning to the Overworld, the dried ghast can be submerged in water, where it will gradually hydrate over several days and transform into an endearing ghastling.
