Rockstar revealed in November 2025 that their new game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Switch 2. This announcement came about a year after the launch of Red Dead Redemption on Steam, which attracted over 8,000 players simultaneously. While the Steam version was popular, it also faced criticism, as many players felt the $50 price tag was too high for a game that was over ten years old. Now, the updated Xbox version seems to be facing the same pricing concerns.

Xbox Game Pass had a great November, with new games like Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, The Crew: Motorfest, Kill It With Fire! 2, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, and Monsters Are Coming! Rock & Road added to the service. December is off to a strong start too, with Marvel: Cosmic Invasion arriving on December 1st and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage joining on December 2nd.

As a longtime Destiny 2 player, I’ve been pretty worried lately. The recent Edge of Fate update just didn’t seem to grab anyone, and honestly, it was riddled with bugs! A lot of us didn’t love the new Portal stuff either, and it all added up to a big drop in players. Bungie had to rush out fixes and even remove some features that just weren’t working. But I’m still holding out hope that the new Renegades expansion, which is taking inspiration from Star Wars, can really get things back on track. I’m really hoping it’s a turning point for the game!

Over the past twenty years, Final Fantasy has become a constant presence in my life. From the ups and downs of high school to the challenges of being an adult, I’ve always loved this series. It’s brought me immense joy, but also a few sleepless nights – many late-night gaming sessions led to early mornings with marching band! It was the perfect escape after stressful studying, and sometimes made me want to skip class altogether. Even during quiet moments, the games’ stories always stuck with me. Looking back at how much has changed, it’s amazing that Final Fantasy has been there throughout it all, growing with me every step of the way.

The best science fiction games aren’t just about spaceships or robots. They’re defined by clever design, immersive worlds, and the overall experience they create. Over the past three decades, these games have shaped both what players want from sci-fi games and what developers aim to deliver.
