A Lot of Borderlands 4 Players Aren’t Happy About the New Expansion

Despite a strong launch for Borderlands 4 in September 2025 – selling 2.5 million copies in its first week and becoming one of the year’s best-selling games – the game quickly faced criticism. Players were unhappy with the endgame content and lack of post-launch support, causing the number of concurrent players on Steam to fall below 20,000 within two months. The game currently has a “Mixed” review score on Steam, and the recent release of Story Pack 1 DLC hasn’t improved its reception among fans.
