In the tale of “Days Gone”, we follow Deacon St. John, played by Sam Witwer, as he battles to stay alive in a post-apocalyptic landscape of the northwestern U.S.A. Following a global pandemic, the world is scarred by mutated creatures known as Freakers, with no apparent cure on the horizon. Throughout your gaming experience, you’ll encounter these Freakers, many of which travel in groups that can be dangerous to anyone nearby. To survive these encounters, players must either evade or fight off these groups using every resource at their disposal. As Deacon St. John journeys through an expansive world on his motorcycle, he’ll encounter various factions that have learned to adapt within this apocalyptic setting. However, not everyone in the wasteland can be trusted, as players will frequently find themselves battling against humans, too.

However, showrunner Tony Gilroy for Andor proposes a more straightforward concept for another series.

One of the game’s strongest bedrooms, the Master Bedroom, provides an advantage by granting an extra action per turn for every room already built within the mansion. Additionally, it features a challenging puzzle box that, when solved, rewards players with a substantial upgrade to aid them in their upcoming playthroughs.

Without making 2025 any less hectic, Bethesda surprised Elder Scrolls enthusiasts this week by unveiling a remastered version of Oblivion. Given the sky-high player count on Steam, it’s clear that the remaster has been well-received, drawing both novice players and dedicated fans back to Cyrodiil.

The game titled “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” initially slated as one of the significant releases in 2024, unfortunately faced numerous challenges. The live-service title encountered a rough start, garnering mostly mixed reviews from both critics and gamers, with many expressing more negative opinions. To make matters worse, DC gaming suffered another blow when developer Monolith was closed down, along with their “Wonder Woman” game project. If DC games aim to recover from this downturn, they might find success by learning from imitation and observing the strategies of their competitor, Marvel.

Expressing it in a more conversational manner: It’s quite common to say that an “open-world that feels real and dynamic” sets these games apart from many others. But remember, a game can still be exceptional without this quality. Yet, some games place a strong emphasis on creating lifelike characters and environments that suggest the world carries on, even when the player isn’t present.
