Without much surprise, the upcoming game, Ghost of Yotei, is being likened to Assassin’s Creed more than ever before. Coincidentally, both games are set for release this year, with Assassin’s Creed Shadows being Ubisoft’s portrayal of feudal Japan, and Ghost of Yotei featuring a female warrior reminiscent of Naoe from Shadows. Although the games are set in different periods of Japanese history, it’s not hard to see why viewers might draw comparisons between the two, given the striking similarities between Ghost of Tsushima and past Assassin’s Creed installments. With a recent trailer for Ghost of Yotei, it seems that these comparisons could become even more pronounced.
