This guide was created when Hytale first launched into early access. Because the game is constantly being updated, some of the information here might become outdated and may need to be revised later.

BioWare released Anthem in 2019 as a shared-world shooter featuring mech suits and ongoing live service updates. While the game initially looked impressive and had an interesting idea, it received mixed reviews and quickly lost players. Mark Darrah, who led the planned overhaul called Anthem Next (which was later cancelled), has consistently spoken positively about the game, particularly because players had been requesting an offline mode even before it was taken offline. His recent comments come shortly after EA shut down the game’s servers on January 12, 2026, making it impossible to play.

Since launching in October, the number of players for the game has dropped significantly. While it’s normal for games to lose some players after the initial excitement, Battlefield 6’s decline has been surprisingly fast. The game started with over 700,000 players on Steam, but now has fewer than 100,000. With the announcement that Season 2 will be delayed until February, many are wondering what improvements Battlefield Studios is working on. Despite these challenges, I’m hopeful about the game’s future.

This major update, version 3.0, is the biggest change to New Horizons in over four years. Since then, there have been smaller updates to fix issues, and in November 2021, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise expansion was released. This isn’t the first time a game in the Animal Crossing series has received a surprise update long after its initial release – Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which came out in 2013, got the Welcome amiibo expansion in 2016. The series is known for taking its time with updates, but they’re always worth the wait.

Just so you know, Hytale isn’t currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam. Since it’s only on PC right now, it makes sense if you’re having trouble finding it to buy. We wanted to give you a quick update if you weren’t already aware.

It’s typical for a game like ARC Raiders, where you collect items by going on raids, to have better gear as a major reward. Discovering a powerful weapon is always more thrilling than finding a basic one, but the game becomes interesting when different weapons are best for different situations.

Hypixel Studios let players know Hytale was launching in early access, meaning it would likely have bugs and problems. However, my experience has been surprisingly smooth – I haven’t encountered any issues at all. In fact, the launch has gone more smoothly than many fully released games I’ve played.

New games added to PS Plus Extra and Premium usually become available on Tuesdays. However, the list for January 2026 was revealed online before Sony officially announced it. It turns out the leak was correct! It remains to be seen if future game lists will be leaked early, but PS Plus subscribers can mark January 20th on their calendars for the next game release.

I’m still convinced that the original Pokemon Red is the best game in the whole series! Pokemon Blue was pretty much the same, but Red had Charizard on the cover, and that just made it special. Okay, I admit it might be a little silly to say it was better just because of the box art – the differences between the two games were really just a handful of exclusive Pokemon you could get by trading. But honestly, I think those first two Pokemon games on Game Boy were the absolute peak. Even now, 30 years later, I still have a blast playing Pokemon Red – it’s one of those games that’s genuinely fun, not just something I enjoy because of nostalgia.
