Destiny 2 got a new expansion, The Edge of Fate, in mid-July, and it briefly brought a lot more players to the game. It was a tough arc though, because sadly both Gojo and Sukuna died in JJK’s Shinjuku Showdown Arc. But now, in the sequel, Gege Akutami has introduced this new character who’s being described as a Sukuna-level threat, and some people think he could even be stronger than Gojo, especially when you consider the army he commands!

For over 20 years, that statement held true. However, things have evolved, and Xbox’s focus has changed significantly. They’ve moved away from competing in the console wars and trying to drive hardware sales with exclusive games. Now, Xbox is actively releasing its games on PlayStation and Nintendo consoles, with classic exclusives like Forza Horizon and Gears of War receiving PS5 versions this year. Forza and Gears are definitely huge Xbox franchises, but neither carries the same weight as Halo potentially coming to PS5. If the rumors about Halo on PS5 are accurate, it would mark a real turning point.

In 2023, Microsoft initially offered $68.7 billion to buy Activision Blizzard, eventually completing the purchase for $75.4 billion. The FTC raised concerns about the deal and tried to prevent it, but their attempt to get a court order to block the acquisition failed. Even though the FTC continued to challenge the deal into early 2025, their appeal was unsuccessful, and they ultimately ended their legal fight.
