Robert Downey Jr., one of the founding Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), played the beloved superhero Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man. In “Avengers: Endgame,” he makes a tragic sacrifice to save the universe, leading to his on-screen death, which left fans devastated. However, Marvel shocked everyone by announcing Downey Jr.’s return to the MCU at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con. Instead of reprising his role as Iron Man, he will take on the character of supervillain Victor Von Doom, more famously known as Doctor Doom. The return was kept under wraps so well that even other Marvel stars were taken aback by the revelation. Yet, if rumors are to be believed, Downey Jr. might not be very successful in keeping his new role as Doctor Doom a secret, as whispers suggest that his birthday invite could potentially give it away.
