As the premiere draws near, viewers have been treated to a good deal of promotional material, such as the recent trailer from CinemaCon that James Gunn made available for public viewing online.

Today, it was officially disclosed by Nintendo that the Nintendo Switch 2: Welcome Tour will retail for $9.99 upon its release, with the unique aspect that it will only be available as a digital purchase.

During its extended April 2 Direct, Nintendo didn’t disclose any pricing details, but later on their website, they revealed that Mario Kart World will retail for $80 digitally and $90 physically, which came as an unwelcome shock to some. Although not all Switch 2 games will be this expensive, Donkey Kong Bananza is priced at the standard industry rate of $70. However, many fans were quick to express their disapproval about the high cost of Mario Kart and the console’s paid next-gen updates, claiming they are overpriced.
