As of November 1, 2019, when Apple TV+ made its debut, it had only seven original shows. However, since then, the number of original series has grown significantly, with most receiving multiple seasons regardless of viewership numbers. Shows like “For All Mankind”, “Slow Horses”, “Ted Lasso”, and “The Morning Show” have continued for years after their initial release. If Apple TV+ believes in a show, they are willing to invest the necessary funds to keep it running. For instance, even a relatively small sci-fi hit like “Silo”, which features an all-star cast including Rebecca Ferguson, Rashida Jones, David Oyelowo, Common, and Tim Robbins, was renewed for two more seasons despite moderate viewership numbers. In contrast to other streaming services that are reducing costs, Apple TV+ seems undeterred and continues its forward momentum.

As Aloy and her companions gear up to confront the looming menace of the AI entity, Nemesis, following the events of Forbidden West, they will probably require every ounce of help and resources at their disposal. The risks have never been greater for our heroes, and with the recurring theme of cloning being a key plot device in this series, it’s plausible that the next installment might delve even deeper into this aspect as the main group weighs their choices.

Without delving too deeply into the story, it’s clear that the perspective presented is quite simplistic. Although Monarchs are clearly destructive, human nature has shown an unsettling capacity for darkness throughout history. Greed, treachery, and ruthless ambition have led humans to commit terrible acts willingly – actions surprisingly similar to those of their supposed foes, the Monarchs. This raises a question: Could it be that in our struggle against beings destined for destruction, humanity’s most dangerous and perhaps truest enemy might be found within ourselves?

The shift in genre for Naughty Dog is intriguing, given that they haven’t delved deeply into heavy sci-fi before. While their work, like the Uncharted series and The Last of Us, has had some out-of-this-world moments, Naughty Dog is generally recognized as a developer that prefers grounded narratives. In some video games, the players find themselves as solitary figures in perilous landscapes, while others put them among multiple characters, though with a distinct trait that leads to intense feelings of detachment. Yet, there are titles that offer flexibility: interact socially with the other characters within the game or elect to embark on their journey alone. Regardless of the choice, these open-world games masterfully create an atmosphere where players experience profound isolation, utter seclusion, and profound loneliness.

In general opinion, Outlaws isn’t considered a catastrophe, yet many find it lackluster. The game showcases typical features of contemporary Ubisoft productions: an expansive open world filled with monotonous tasks, a mix of combat and stealth, and a grand narrative that falters in maintaining its pace throughout numerous hours. Critics have noted that the storyline of Star Wars Outlaws is particularly problematic, as they feel it’s too sanitized and convoluted, resulting in an uninteresting journey despite occasional brilliance. The gameplay mechanics, too, have been criticized by players of Outlaws. Clearly, the game didn’t enjoy widespread success, but future Star Wars ventures can still draw valuable lessons from it.

As stated by Tony Gilroy, the showrunner of “Andor”, there’s a good chance fans may see their desires fulfilled soon, as he has previously contemplated the prospect of additional genre-blending “Star Wars” projects. This even includes proposing a horror-themed installment within the iconic franchise.
