Although tigers aren’t as fast or enduring as horses, riding one would be incredibly impressive! If you’re hoping to tame a tiger as a pet or use it as a unique mount, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll show you where to find tigers and how to tame them.
In the Rainforest of Crimson Desert, you can actually tame tigers! All it takes is a good sword to bring them under control and enough meat to keep them happy. We’ve put together a guide below with maps and tutorials to help you safely obtain your very own tiger mount.
Before you attempt to hunt or tame a tiger, make sure you buy a large supply of meat from the butcher in Hernand.
Where to Find & Tame Tigers in Crimson Desert
Okay, so I found out you can actually tame a tiger! You’ll need to head north from Beardtree Gorge – just keep going north past Delesyia, and you’ll find it in the Rainforest.
Tigers were discovered near the Giant’s Yard Watchtower, guarding the Legendary White Tiger. You can’t tame the White Tiger itself, but the regular tigers in the area can be tamed.
To tame a tiger, you need to defeat the Legendary White Tiger, leaving only a regular tiger remaining. You can damage the tiger to lower its health, then use a Force Palm to stun it, allowing you to climb on its back. Once you’re mounted, open your inventory and drop the raw meat you bought.
Okay, so once you’re actually on the tiger, you can open up your inventory. Then, just hold down the ‘use’ button while you have any kind of meat selected, and choose ‘feed’. Keep feeding it meat until its Trust level goes up by 100 points. After that, hit Triangle (on PlayStation) or Y (on Xbox) to officially add the tiger as one of your rideable mounts – it’s awesome!
If you’ve defeated the Legendary White Tiger, tigers in the Rainforest might not reappear. We anticipate Pearl Abyss will address this soon, either by allowing tigers to respawn or adding new spawn locations. Currently, the Rainforest is the only confirmed place to find them.
Crimson Desert Tiger Overview
| Health | 450 |
|---|---|
| Stamina | 200 |
| Attack | 100 |
| Defense | 45 |
You can attack with the Tiger using the R2/RT buttons, and it’s reasonably fast. However, we think the Legendary Mounts or the fast horses found in the game are better options.
