Sony PlayStation has introduced Pulse Elevate, a new line of wireless speakers. These speakers are designed to connect to a variety of devices and offer features like minimal delay, artificial intelligence integration, and more.
Sound is a critical part of gaming for many people, encompassing everything from in-game effects to the music. But how players *listen* to that sound matters a lot too. Poor headphones or speakers can make it hard to hear important details, and Pulse Elevate aims to fix common audio issues gamers face.
PlayStation Introduces Pulse Elevate Speakers
PlayStation recently announced a new line of wireless speakers called Pulse Elevate. These speakers are compatible with PS5 consoles, the PlayStation Portal, and both PC and Mac computers. They’re designed to provide audio with almost no delay, keeping what you see and hear perfectly in sync. Featuring built-in woofers for rich bass and support for Tempest 3D AudioTech in select PS5 games, Pulse Elevate aims to deliver sound exactly as game developers intended. You can even adjust the speaker angle to optimize the audio for your position in the room, and customize the sound further with EQ settings available through the system menus on PS5 and PC.
Beyond just playing game audio, the Pulse Elevate speakers offer several useful features. They connect to PS5, PCs, and Macs using PlayStation Link, and can also connect to devices via Bluetooth at the same time. This lets you hear game audio and, for example, a phone call or music, simultaneously. The speakers charge via USB-C and come with charging docks. Plus, built-in noise-canceling technology ensures your voice comes through clearly when communicating with other players, making these speakers a strong alternative to a gaming headset.
PlayStation plans to release the Pulse Elevate speakers in 2026. They’ll be available in two colors: Midnight Black and White. More details about the exact release date will be announced soon.
