The Plot Hole Repair Project is a special task in the game NTE: Neverness to Everness. Players restore color to a gray world by interacting with objects, much like the ‘Reclaim Inspiration’ task in the Bridge Crossing area.
Plot Hole Repair Project Anomaly Commission in NTE
You can find and follow the progress of the Plot Hole Repair Project by going to the Anomaly Commission menu, located in the bottom right corner of the map.
Okay, so to start this quest, you need to head to the Miguel District and find the Wertheimer Tower. Once you’re there, just follow the blue line on your screen – it’ll lead you right to where you need to go!
If you investigate the areas where the Wertheimer Index changes a lot, you’ll eventually find a striking, swirling pattern of colors in the suburbs.
Approach the swirling vortex and activate it by using the phrase “Enter the Colorless Realm.” This will transport you to a large room shaped like a colorless cube.
Find the bright red fire hydrant and use it to restore color to the ground where you are.
Right after you change the color, a special mosquito will appear. Use your Redirect Skill (press E) to eliminate it before it can revert the realm to its original color.
After you defeat the mosquito-like creature, a red metal railing will fall near the fire hydrant. You can then walk across the railing to get to the next area with no color.
Go to the center of the pool and use the “Release Color” prompt on the blue surfboard. Then, eliminate the mosquito when it appears again.
Brightly colored water slides will be positioned alongside the pool, leading to the next area. Walking across these slides will change your viewpoint and allow you to reach a new, uncolored surface.
Okay, so I figured out that to get things colorful again, I need to touch the blue pool float in the center of the room. And just like last time, I have to be ready to swat that mosquito the second I see it!
A big arrow in the pool directs you to a set of black stairs along the wall. Go up those stairs and you’ll find yourself on a volleyball court.
Touching the scoreboard on the court will restore its color. Then, eliminate the mosquito when it reappears.
To get to the last part of the room, go through the green door at the back and take the stairs right behind it.
Touch the podium in the middle of the room to restore the color and defeat the mosquito again.
Use the stairs directly behind the podium to return to the very first part of the room.
Go into the black vortex – it’s the area in the center of the room marked by metal railings. A message saying “Unleash Inspiration” will appear. Click on the message to finish the Plot Hole Repair Project commission.

Okay, so I just finished bringing color back to the whole grey world and fixed that weird anomaly they called the ‘Plot Hole Repair Project’! Apparently, I get some rewards for that, and I’m super excited to see what they are!
