While the original poster noted some visual improvements, the post sparked a lot of negative comments about the newer game from other players.

Many Pokémon fans have noticed very little difference between the old and new images, which is disappointing given the time that’s passed between them. While some saw minor improvements, most felt they weren’t significant. A common critique focused on Meganium’s design; some pointed out that the flower in the older Wii game version looked more realistic, with slightly drooping petals, while the new version appears flat. Others felt the Pokémon looked plastic due to a lack of texture.
