Pokemon TCG Pocket: Things to Do After Completing the Tutorial Tasks

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged into various card games, I can confidently say that Pokemon TCG Pocket has its fair share of charm and challenges. While it’s true that the game offers a generous number of free pack pulls initially, the real test comes after completing the tutorial. Fear not, fellow Pokémon Trainers, for I have traversed these digital lands and uncovered hidden gems to help you maximize your in-game currency and pack pulls.

Similar to numerous other free-to-play mobile games, Pokemon TCG Pocket starts off brimming with excitement, offering an abundance of complimentary card pack pulls during its initial phases. However, upon completing the tutorial and advanced missions, one might find oneself at a loss as to how proceed in Pokemon TCG Pocket, due to the scarcity of further content.

Gladly, there’s a good chunk of activities for me, the gamer, to dive into once I’ve wrapped up the tutorial in Pokemon TCG Pocket. These include time-bound events and tough solo fights. However, some of these activities can be tricky to spot, especially for those of us who are eager to open more packs ASAP. So, here’s a handy guide on things to keep busy with in Pokemon TCG Pocket!

1 Complete All Solo Battles and Objectives

At Level 3, players gain access to the Battle Hub – a place where they can either use their personal decks or rent some to fight against other players or AI opponents. Beating all 26 battles will earn players approximately nine additional packs, plus many more rewards, in the form of 112 Pack Hourglasses. However, it’s essential to keep an eye on each battle’s extra objectives for bonus rewards as well.

By successfully finishing all 93 individual battle tasks within the game, players will earn extra Shop Tickets totaling 416. These tickets can be exchanged for Pack Hourglasses at the Shop. How players choose to utilize these hourglasses could potentially provide them with an additional 12 packs, making solo battles a highly profitable method for amassing more packs in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

2 Complete Daily Missions

In simpler terms, the Pokemon TCG Pocket game doesn’t offer much for daily tasks. When you accomplish any three of the given missions, you only get four Shop Tickets, which equates to one pack pull every three days. You also get one Wonder Hourglass and one Shop Ticket each day from the Complimentary Item Set in the shop. Additionally, you can earn up to five extra Shop Tickets by receiving appreciation from people you battle or who select your packs during Wonder Pick.

3 Bulk Up Your Friends List

The easiest way to earn five Thanks per day is to have a lot of friends. This is because friends often appear at the top of each other’s Wonder Pick list, which can massively increase the chances of their packs being picked from. Alternatively, players can complete PvP battles, as most people leave a Thanks regardless of how the battle goes. As there’s currently no penalty for losing PvP battles, players can concede the battle right away to speed up the process if they’re in a hurry. Unlike in other games, their opponent will probably be thankful that they bailed early.

4 Complete Events

In the game Pokemon TCG Pocket, there are many different events, but most of these concentrate more on aesthetics than they do on in-game currency. Nevertheless, battle-oriented events give players the resources to open additional packs, and solo battles can also award them promo card packs as rewards. Player vs. Player battles offer experience points and don’t require stamina, allowing players to continue battling indefinitely if they wish, with each new level rewarding them with enough Pack Hourglasses for another pack draw.

5 Take Stock of Your Cards

As players spend more hours on Pokemon TCG Pocket, it gets progressively tougher to gather the resources to open additional packs. To make the most of each draw then, players should strive to maximize the value of every pack they open. While the probability of drawing a specific rarity doesn’t change based on the pack selected, for those aiming to finish the Kanto Pokedex and unlock Mew, keeping track of the cards they already possess can be crucial information.

To boost their likelihood of winning, players might find it beneficial to jot down all the remaining cards they don’t have yet and note which packs contain those missing cards. This way, they could discover that a significant number of cards are absent from one pack as compared to the other two. Consequently, they can strategize to pull new cards more efficiently in their next draw from the pack.

6 Check Wonder Picks Often

In the Pokemon TCG Pocket game, Wonder Picks updates frequently and occasionally rewards players with free Bonus Picks. Yet, these complimentary picks have a short lifespan, so it’s crucial for players to regularly check their Wonder Picks to prevent missing out on them. However, the free picks aren’t the sole reason why one should monitor the cards available in Wonder Picks. Rather, it’s also beneficial to stay updated because you might find some valuable cards on offer that could enhance your gameplay experience.

As players progress towards finishing each collection, they’ll notice that the majority of packs in Wonder Pick contain just one or two cards they are still missing, if any at all. Therefore, it would be wise for players to keep an eye out for packs containing three or more cards they need, or packs boasting multiple full arts, since the cost of extracting from a pack with a full art remains constant at three, regardless of how many full arts are within the pack itself.
