Pro-Crypto Donald Trump Leads Harris In National Poll But There’s A Catch

As a seasoned political analyst with over two decades of experience in observing and dissecting the intricacies of American politics, I find myself both intrigued and amused by the current state of affairs. The race for the 2024 presidential election is shaping up to be a fascinating contest, with familiar faces and new players entering the stage.

In the upcoming 2024 U.S. presidential election, it appears that former President Donald Trump is pulling ahead in a nationwide survey against Vice President Kamala Harris. According to a recent poll by Rasmussen Reports (conducted from August 8-14), Trump presently holds a 4% advantage over Harris. The survey indicates that 49% of potential voters prefer Trump, while 45% support Harris.

Donald Trump Vs. Kamala Harris In National Poll

In this recent poll, Donald Trump experiences a significant surge, as he’s been vigorously campaigning and emphasizing his supportive stance on cryptocurrency to attract more voters. Rasmussen Reports, recognized for their accurate election predictions in both the 2016 and 2020 races, carried out the survey with a sample of 1,885 likely voters.

As a crypto investor, I’ve been keeping an eye on the presidential race, and while it seems clear that Harris is ahead based on traditional polling data, platforms like Polymarket tell a different tale. On Polymarket, Harris is favored to win with a 51% probability, but Trump isn’t far behind at 47%. This disparity between traditional polls and prediction markets underscores the unpredictability of our current political landscape.

Previously, Trump and Harris had an equal standing on Polymarket for a short while. However, Vice President Harris has seen a surge in support from the cryptocurrency community, even amidst criticism during the Crypto For Harris town hall event. In contrast, Trump persists in criticizing Harris on social media to bolster his own voter base.

Trump’s recent posts on Truth Social and X (previously Twitter) emphasize his assertive campaigning style. In a post on Truth Social, he launched a harsh critique of Harris, branding her as a “communist.” Furthermore, Trump argued that under Harris’ leadership, the United States would experience a rapid downfall. He stated: “[Harris is] leading us towards the collapse of our nation.”

“Comrade Kamala Harris is terrible for our Country. She is a Communist, has always been a Communist, and will always be a Communist. Under her ‘leadership,’ the USA will fail, and fail quickly. We will not let that happen!!!”

In reference to immigration matters on X, Donald Trump pointed out problems and voiced criticism towards the Biden administration due to an unprecedented rise in unlawful border crossings. As per a graph presented by Trump, the count of illegal immigrants has surpassed 300,000 during Biden’s term in office.

As someone who has spent years studying and working in politics, I find it fascinating to observe the shift in rhetoric surrounding immigration in recent times. When President Trump was in office, he often portrayed immigrants as a threat to our safety and security, labeling them as “violent illegals” and advocating for harsh policies aimed at keeping them out. This stance contrasts sharply with the current administration’s approach, which has seen an 1,833% increase in the number of people seeking asylum since Trump left office in 2020.

Elon Musk In The Political Scene

In the midst of the political uproar, tech tycoon Elon Musk has joined the conversation, offering his perspective to an ongoing debate. Previously, Musk expressed support for Donald Trump and remains active on platform X. Furthermore, Musk has been vocal in criticizing Kamala Harris by highlighting posts that are critical of the Democratic Party.

Lately, a Dogecoin graphic designer’s post was emphasized by him, implying that AI systems such as ChatGPT and MetaAI might give the impression that the Democratic Party governs traditional media. It’s worth noting that Elon Musk’s political discourse goes beyond social media platforms.

Last week in a notable conversation with Trump, who is known for his support of cryptocurrency, Elon Musk suggested establishing a “commission for government efficiency.” He also showed readiness to contribute. Trump seemed intrigued by this idea, which could hint at possible joint efforts between them in the future.
