As a die-hard Harry Potter fan who grew up with the books and has watched every movie multiple times, I can hardly contain my excitement for the release of “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions”. The game’s promise to feature iconic schools like Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, aside from Hogwarts, is a dream come true.

As an ardent fan, I’m thrilled to share that the matches in “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions” aren’t just limited to the field beyond Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Fresh glimpses of the upcoming game reveal exciting news – our favorite game will also be played at a few other schools renowned from the Harry Potter universe, as depicted in the books, films, and more!

As a hardcore fan of the magical world, I’ve been waiting eagerly for years to step onto the quidditch pitch myself. Unlike other Harry Potter games, this time we’re not just exploring Hogwarts or battling dark wizards. Instead, we’ll be soaring through the air on broomsticks, scoring points with Quaffles and Golden Snitches just like the characters from the books. It’s been a long time since the last official game focused solely on this iconic sport (Quidditch World Cup back in 2003), but that changes this September 3rd with the release of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions. The best part? Some of our favorite actors from the original films will be reprising their roles to bring the Wizarding World’s most popular sport to life!

In the latest trailer unveiled on August 8th, we will see two additional schools joining the lineup – Beauxbatons Academy of Magic from France and Durmstrang Institute from northern Scandinavia. These magical institutions made their debut in the Harry Potter franchise in 2000 through the novel “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”. In the Tri-Wizard Tournament, Fleur Delacour from Beauxbatons and Viktor Krum from Durmstrang were sent as representatives to compete against Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory from Hogwarts. The trailers reveal two new stadiums, each embodying the distinctive qualities of their respective schools as described in the novels and portrayed in the films. Beauxbatons’ arena is adorned with flowers and blue banners, while Durmstrang’s tournament takes place over a dark, icy sea embellished with Norse symbols.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Will Feature Beaubatons and Durmstrang

Although the latest trailer presents all three playing fields, including the one at Hogwarts frequently showcased earlier, it remains unclear if any recurring figures from the other schools will be playable within the game. Previous versions of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions have confirmed the presence of various characters from the films and novels, many of whom have been depicted playing for their respective Hogwarts houses’ quidditch squads, such as the Weasley brothers, Cho Chang, and Draco Malfoy. Viktor Krum played quidditch during his school days before joining the Bulgarian national team as a seeker. However, no additional quidditch action from either school has been demonstrated through other media, leaving us guessing which characters might populate their teams.

The upcoming release of “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions” is just around the corner in less than a month. However, not everyone will get to play it simultaneously on the same day. On September 3rd, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC users can start playing, but the launch date for the Nintendo Switch version remains undisclosed as of now.
