The Red Needle Sword is hidden in a secret room within the Sanctum of Oblation in Crimson Desert. You can find the Sanctum east of Delesyia, on the far-right island of the game map.
Okay, so I finally figured out how to get the Red Needle sword. It’s in the Sanctum of Oblation, but here’s the cool part – you don’t need to beat any bosses to get it! Just a quick little puzzle, and it’s all mine.
How to Get the Red Needle in Crimson Desert
Red Needle Sword Location
- Fast travel to the Blue Thicket Abyss Nexus, on the northwestern edge of the small island located east of Delesyia.
- Enter the outer yard, and then turn left again through the doorway.
- Turn right and follow the narrow path littered with cobwebs as it goes down. Ignore the staircase leading upward.
- Behind the floating cube will be a crack in the wall and an unlit stone lantern.
- Interact with the lantern to light it on fire, and you’ll see some receding spikes through the hole in the wall.
- Enter and open the treasure chest inside to get the Red Needle Sword.
Look east, and you’ll see the Sanctum of Oblation on the mountain.
Head east and you will reach the stairs leading up to the main entrance.
Turn right and hug the outer wall of the Sanctum until you see an alternate entrance into the Sanctum, lit up by two blue lanterns on either side.
There will be two paths here. One to the right and one that goes straight ahead
At the end of this path, you’ll find a small room with a floating cube puzzle piece.
Return the way you came until you come back to the fork where you turned right previously.
This time, take the path heading straight and turn right when the narrow corridor opens up to find a doorway surrounded by a colorful flower vine and a blue lantern.

In Crimson Desert, the Red Needle is a strong one-handed weapon, especially for players focusing on critical hit builds. When fully upgraded, it provides a +30 Attack bonus and a Level 2 Critical Rate – all without needing any special Abyss Gear.
Beyond just how much damage it deals, the Red Needle sword is highly sought after because of its appearance. It’s a red, one-handed katana that closely resembles the Rivers of Blood katana from Elden Ring, and players can add the Bleed Abyss Gear to fully recreate the look.
