In June, it was announced that Archax and Ripple are planning to expand their current partnership. This development aims to introduce approximately half a billion dollars worth of real-world asset tokens into the XRPL within the next twelve months.

By integrating Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) functionality onto the XRP Ledger through the XRPL EVM Sidechain, Ripple aims to enhance interoperability and create fresh possibilities within Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and Resourceful Web Applications (RWA), making it simpler for developers to build cross-platform applications.

Ripple intends to launch a US dollar-tied cryptocurrency (stablecoin) on both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum platforms, which are currently being tested in private settings on both blockchains. This step is anticipated to expand Ripple’s influence into both traditional financial institutions and DeFi markets, increasing its applications and upgrading its payment system. Additionally, it could lead to more use cases, liquidity, and development opportunities for developers and users on the XRP Ledger.

Discussions guided by the Ripple CEO and president are expected to encompass these significant achievements, along with other landmarks reached during the development process using the XRP Ledger.

Ripple CTO to present XRP Ledger roadmap

Beyond the talks initiated by Ripple’s CEO and president, the event also includes an essential announcement from David Schwartz, who serves as Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer and was among the initial designers of the XRP Ledger.

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from Ripple will reveal the blueprint for Decentralized Finance (DeFi) aimed at institutions, which encompasses programmable features and institutional capabilities on the XRP Ledger.

Key figures from the XRP community and Ripple leadership will participate in conversations about various aspects, such as the progress of the ecosystem, strategies for building the community, and patterns observed among users – with a special focus on Japan, SBI Ripple collaboration, and Japanese enthusiasm towards NFTs, along with other relevant topics.
