As a seasoned crypto investor with a knack for recognizing potential, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement about the latest XRPL update. Having weathered numerous market cycles and witnessed the rise and fall of countless coins, I’ve learned to appreciate stability and security above all else. The assurance from Ripple CTO David Schwartz that this upgrade will maintain XRP Ledger’s robustness is a welcome relief.
The XRP Ledger (XRPL), supported by Ripple Labs, has rolled out a fresh software update, signifying another improvement for its layer-1 protocol. Now, developers need to adjust to the latest version, which is called rippled 2.3.0. According to Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, this upgrade aims to maintain the XRP Ledger’s stability and security.
XRP Ledger catching up with hype
The focus is on Ripple’s ledger due to the significant increase in the value of XRP, leading to a surge in users within its network. This influx of activity caused a brief halt in the protocol’s operation, which was an unanticipated development back then.
Last week, Brad Chase, Vice President of Engineering at RippleX, indicated that they had released a fix for the system shutdown on the main network. He subtly suggested this fix and encouraged developers within the community to start the necessary update process.
David Schwartz’s prompt earlier acted as a gentle push to further enhance the performance of the protocol, during its current significant surge.
Validators, please upgrade to rippled 2.3.0 ASAP to ensure XRPL’s stability and security.

Over the past month, XRP has scored a major price uptick, jumping by more than 83% in the past seven days. A coin that stayed stagnant for the past year has jumped by 408% over the past month and by 300% year-to-date (YTD).
More updates on XRPL
In contrast to what some might expect, this recent upgrade isn’t a novelty for this quarter; it’s actually part of the regular sequence of updates initiated by the XRP Ledger developers, aimed at enhancing the protocol’s scalability.
According to a previous report by U.Today, an update for Decentralized Identity (DiD) was launched on the XRPL in late October, paving the way for potential new applications for the protocol. Furthermore, the XRP Ledger is also ready to accommodate Ripple’s USD stablecoin, known as RLUSD.
As a researcher, I’ve been closely observing the XRP Ledger (XRPL) for the past couple of months, and it has been consistently undergoing rigorous testing. The recent Ripple 2.3.0 update aims to enhance the robustness of this blockchain. While the release date for the stablecoin remains unspecified, the focus on strengthening the XRPL infrastructure is evident.
