SEC Says Oops, Drops Case! π
Oh my, oh me! The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has gone and done it again! π They’ve agreed to drop the lawsuit against those clever chaps at Consensys, the software developer extraordinaire! π€
It all started when the SEC got a bit too big for its britches, claiming that Consensys had broken the rules with their Metamask wallet. “It’s an unregistered broker!” they cried. But, it seems they’ve had a change of heart… or perhaps they just realized they were being a bit of a nuisance? π
Consensys CEO Joseph Lubin is beaming with joy, and who can blame him? π “We appreciate the SEC’s new leadership and the pro-innovation, pro-investor path they are taking,” he said with a grin. And, of course, he had to rub it in just a bit: “2025 will be the best year for Ethereum and Consensys.” π
Lubin also predicted that the world is becoming a more decentralized place, and we can’t help but wonder if the SEC is finally starting to get with the times? π€ “The paradigm shift to a much more decentralized world is accelerating,” he added. We’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we? π°οΈ
