Shiba Inu Lead Sends Urgent Message to SHIB Holders

As a long-term crypto investor with a significant stake in Shiba Inu, I can’t help but feel a sense of unease every time I read about a new token scam in the space. The recent misinformation regarding the TREAT token is just another reminder of how crucial it is to stay informed and vigilant.

Shiba Inu‘s leader Shytoshi Kusama took to Twitter recently to share important news with the community regarding misinformation circulating about the imminent TREAT token launch.

Kusama corrected a mistake in Crypto.com’s article about the TRET token, which hasn’t been introduced yet, aligning with a caution issued by the Shiba Inu community’s X account, ShibArmy Scam Alerts.

As a responsible and informed SHIB investor, I would like to emphasize the importance of verifying information before acting on it. Recently, there have been rumors circulating about the launch of TREAT token. However, I want to clarify that these reports were false, as Shibarmy Scam Alerts cautioned us in an article. They warned SHIB holders against falling prey to a link leading to a fake TREAT token site. Let’s always double-check our sources and protect ourselves from potential scams.

It’s unfortunate that @cryptocom made an error in referring to our unreleased TREAT token. Please exercise great care regarding the mentioned TREAT token, as well as other potential impostors that may emerge with the intention of deceiving you. #DoYourOwnResearch

“It appears Cryptoom mistakenly assumed that our yet-to-be-launched TREAT token, which was the subject of his article by Cryptoom, was already in circulation based on the information available at the time.”

The Shiba Inu lead developer advises SHIB tokenholders to exercise caution in dealing with the false TREAT tokens circulating: “Be careful when encountering this deceitful version of TREAT and other counterfeit tokens designed to deceive you.”

TREAT not yet launched

The Shiba Inu project’s prominent figure has raised an important issue in the cryptocurrency world: the increasing number of deceptive tokens. With Shiba Inu gaining more attention, there is a heightened risk that people will fall victim to fraudulent schemes designed to exploit innocent users.

The Shiba Inu team has repeatedly made it clear that the authentic TREAT token has yet to be released. Consequently, any token labeled as TREAT presently available may be a fraud and bears no connection to the Shiba Inu network. It is strongly advised for the community to exercise caution and abstain from interacting with these potentially deceptive tokens.

Fraudsters frequently manufacture fake tokens that resemble authentic projects, aiming to trick investors. To avoid being misled, it is essential to carry out comprehensive research prior to engaging in any transactions.

To ensure the security of their investments in Shiba Inu, community members are advised to be cautious and utilize reliable and authenticated resources only. Keep informed about the latest project advancements and token distributions by adhering to legitimate Shiba Inu communication platforms.
