Shiba Inu Reveals Shiba Eternity Web3 Upgrade Is Here

As a dedicated researcher with a strong background in blockchain gaming and digital assets, I find Shiba Inu’s announcement of the upcoming integration of Shiba Eternity into its proprietary layer-2 blockchain, Shibarium, to be an exciting development.

Shiba Inu is nearing the completion of integrating its hit game, Shiba Eternity, with its self-developed layer-2 blockchain, Shibarium. According to Lucie, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, an upgrade for Shiba Eternity on a Web3 platform is imminent and was announced on X.

Shiba Inu’s Shib Eternity Goes Web3

Lucie characterizes this update as a major advancement for the game, bringing forth fresh elements and blockchain-integrated mechanics. “Prepare to unleash your inner alpha in Shibatopia arena: Shiba Eternity’s Web3 enhancement is now live, offering ranked competitions and blockchain-backed card confrontations,” Lucie declared.

“Shiba Eternity’s transformation into Shibarium brings about the conversion of digital cards into distinct web3 assets,” Lucie stated. This change enables traders to buy and sell these assets, as well as display them, introducing a new dimension of value and exchangeability that was lacking in the game’s earlier web2 iteration.

In the revamped Shiba Eternity, a structured competition system is implemented. Players embark on their adventure as beginners, White Belts, and strive to advance all the way to Grandmaster level over cycles that last 15 days. Each cycle consists of 14 divisions, where players accrue points from wins and deduct points for losses, echoing the development and ranking systems characteristic of conventional competitive games.

During the update, Shibarium generates NFT versions of in-game cards that players have earned. Ownership over these digital assets is transferred to the players, enabling them to freely buy, sell, or keep their cards.

The game boasts an impressive collection of over 10,000 distinct Shiboshi heroes, all endowed with unique skills. These characters are pivotal elements in every player’s deck, shaping the direction and tactics of gameplay.

In Shiba Eternity, the gameplay has evolved to include a more intricate system. Players are now required to construct a 30-card deck and meticulously handle their “Bark” reserve. Bark serves a purpose similar to mana in other trading card games, enabling players to launch assaults, set up defenses, and activate unique abilities. The ultimate goal is to outsmart the opponent, bringing their stamina down to nothing, thereby securing victory.

Angel, the head of Shiba Inu Games’ team, discussed the exciting and beneficial features of the newly introduced ranked mode for Shiba Eternity. “This new ranked mode is designed to keep your competitive edge engaged as you play Shiba Eternity,” Angel explained. “Starting from a White Belt, challenge yourself to climb all the way up to Grandmaster rank. Your determination will be rewarded every step of the way.”

Moving forward, champions from the regular tournaments earn a spot in larger seasonal events, boasting even more enticing rewards. To be specific, victors in our fifteen-day competitions will receive invitations to Seasonal Tournaments, unveiling further exciting prizes. Further information on this topic will be disclosed during our Beta phase.

Lucie concluded her announcement by extending an invitation to the Shiba Inu community: “Shiba Eternity transforms from a Web2 collectible card game into a powerful Web3 platform, featuring ranked competitions, NFT creation, and intricate gameplay. This transition grants players ownership and broadens the horizons of blockchain gaming. Are you prepared to conquer the digital battlefield in Shibatopia? The doors are open, and the contest lies ahead.”

At press time, SHIB traded at $0.00001639.
