As a seasoned crypto investor with a soft spot for quirky canine-themed projects, I find myself intrigued by the latest move from the Shiba Inu community. Having witnessed the power of collective action in the past, I’ve seen how petitions can catapult tokens onto major exchanges and propel their growth.
The supporters of Shiba Inu have initiated a request for Binance to include Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) in their listings. This action is intended to bolster the expansion of the Shiba Inu system and improve the interconnected functionality of its tokens, including SHIB, BONE, and LEASH.
Shiba Inu Team Hopes For Another Successful Petition
Today on X, Lucie (@LucieSHIB), who heads marketing for Shiba Inu, unveiled a petition she’s spearheading. She underscored the advantages for all token holders within the Shiba Inu community by signing this petition. According to her, backing BONE isn’t merely about one token but rather “the well-being and expansion of the entire Shib ecosystem.” Lucie emphasized that every SHIB holder stands to gain from BONE’s prosperity since BONE fuels Shibarium.
Lucie pointed out that any Shiba Inu (Shib) holder gains from the prosperity of Bone. This is because Bone serves as the backbone for Shibarium, and every transaction made on Shibarium results in the burning of Shib. The greater the adoption of Bone, the more frequently Shibarium is utilized—and consequently, more Shib gets burned off, which decreases its supply and potentially increases its worth for all holders. Essentially, backing Bone amounts to supporting Shiba Inu’s deflationary strategy directly.
Additionally, she highlighted the importance of LEASH holders taking an interest in the prosperity of Shibarium and its associated token, BONE. This is because LEASH symbolizes exclusivity and rewards within our ecosystem, and the growth and success of both Shibarium and BONE attracts more focus and potential use cases for all three tokens.
Lucie noted that when a petition in support of the Shiba Inu (Shib) ecosystem is successful, it shows key players like exchanges, projects, and investors that there’s more to this ecosystem than just one token. It’s a dynamic environment where Shib is burned, Leash offers exclusivity, and Bone provides utility. This visibility attracts new owners and potential benefits for all three tokens.
As an analyst, I’m highlighting a petition penned by Mazrael Leashtenant, a member of the SHIB team, which targets Binance directly. The primary objective of this petition is to encourage Binance to include BONE in their listing, underscoring its crucial function in transaction processing, network security, and community governance within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
The statement highlights that BONE token owners have the ability to assign their tokens to decentralized validators, thus maintaining the network’s transaction integrity and security. Functioning as a governance token, BONE empowers its holders to contribute to the ecosystem’s development by proposing and voting on ideas. The petition points out that BONE is crucial for numerous decentralized applications, DeFi platforms, play-to-earn games, and privacy-conscious dApps within the growing Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Speaking of Shibarium, the second layer blockchain within our ecosystem, it’s said to house over 1.8 million unique wallets and has handled an impressive 540 million transactions. This versatile platform facilitates decentralized exchanges, games, and offers sophisticated features like homomorphic encryption, which is ideal for privacy-centric applications such as Shibdentity and ShyMode.
BONE is available across multiple platforms, including ShibaSwap DEX, where users can purchase it directly with fiat or other cryptocurrencies, and centralized exchanges like MEXC, HTX, OKX, Crypto.com, and Gate.io. The petition argues that listing BONE on Binance will promote the entire ecosystem by making the token more accessible, benefiting users, developers, and businesses by fostering further decentralized innovation.
Significantly, the Shiba Inu community has been successful in using petitions to push for exchange listings and enhancements within their ecosystem. An organized campaign in early 2021 resulted in SHIB being listed on Coinbase Pro, boosting both its visibility and market worth. Later, a massive petition played a crucial role in getting it listed on Robinhood in April 2022, making trading more accessible for many.
At this moment, the petition has collected 75 signatures. In conclusion, Lucie urged everyone with a passionate plea: “Unite with us and demonstrate the power of our solidarity to the world. Let’s ensure that Shib, Bone, and Leash all reach their peak potential together. Standing united, we soar!
At press time, SHIB traded at $0.00002602.
