As a seasoned crypto investor with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of market fluctuations and trends. But the recent surge in new accounts and activity on Shibarium, the layer-2 blockchain from Shiba Inu (SHIB) ecosystem, has piqued my interest like never before.
Based on information from Shibariumscan, the secondary blockchain linked to the Shiba Inu (SHIB) community, there has been a remarkable increase of approximately 450% in newly created accounts within the past 24 hours.
I’ve noticed an impressive increase in new user sign-ups recently. From a mere 6 accounts the day prior, we’ve seen a significant surge, reaching a total of 27 new accounts during this period. This uptick in new users is a clear indication of heightened interest in our network. Additionally, our active account count has experienced a substantial growth of approximately 23%, rising from 489 to an impressive 602.
It’s intriguing that the influx of new users on Shiba Inu coincided with a rise in transaction fees paid with BONE, their native token. Consequently, fees jumped from 19.31 BONE to 40.14 BONE. Notably, this token serves as fuel for transactions within Shibarium. A portion of every fee is transformed into SHIB and subsequently destroyed, leading to a decrease in the token’s overall supply, making it deflationary in nature.
With a surge in new user registrations and larger monetary exchanges, the system witnessed a significant rise in transaction volume. Specifically, there were 4,319 transactions processed each day, representing a 35.6% increase compared to the previous day.
Recent influx of new members might be driven by their intention to discover the platform or to own BONE and SHIB tokens. Consequently, this surge in participation contributes to enhancing the network as a whole. The renewed excitement surrounding Shibarium can be attributed to the recent market fluctuations of Shiba Inu tokens.
