As of today, Steam users can get five free games or software programs to add to their collections. Steam regularly offers freebies, and while there are occasional days with nothing available, there’s usually something free to claim.
Wow, April 2026 has been amazing for free games on Steam! It feels like they’re giving away something new every week, and there’s been such a good mix of genres – I’ve really been able to build up my library without spending a dime. Seriously, it seems like we’re at the height of all these giveaways right now, with five games available to claim at this very moment!
Free Steam Games Available Right Now
- Stickman Killing Zombie (until April 19 at 12:00pm CST)

- Uncanny Tales: Cold Road (until April 20 at 12:00pm CST)
- Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager (until April 23 at 12:00pm CST)
- Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss – Sanity Skin Pack (until April 30 at 12:00pm CST)
Steam is currently giving away five items: four free games and one free DLC pack. You can grab Stickman Killing Zombie until April 19th, NineHells and Uncanny Tales: Cold Road until April 20th, and Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Master until April 23rd. The Sanity Skin Pack for Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is available for free until April 30th. Once you add these to your account before their deadlines, they’re yours to keep forever.
Lots of new free games on Steam fall into the horror category. Stickman Killing Zombie is a straightforward action game where you play as a stick figure battling zombies. NineHells is a scary psychological journey through Hell, while Uncanny Tales: Cold Road focuses on realistic, human-based horror instead of the usual supernatural themes. Plus, the Sanity Skin Pack lets you customize your experience in Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, a horror game set in an underwater mining facility in the Pacific Ocean.
Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager stands out as a unique free-to-play game on Steam – it’s not a horror game like many others. It’s a roguelite spin on the classic Dungeon Defender, where you play as the dungeon and defend it from invading heroes. Players on Steam have given it great reviews, with recent reviews being ‘Very Positive’ and overall reviews being ‘Mostly Positive’.
