A new Nintendo Direct for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has been announced for next week.
Nintendo announced a new Direct presentation, which will be streamed on Sunday, January 25th at 9am Eastern Time / 6am Pacific Time. The announcement was originally made through the Nintendo Today app.
This is the second Nintendo Direct presentation focused entirely on the Super Mario Bros. Movie. The previous one, held on November 12, 2025, revealed the first trailer and introduced the characters Bowser Jr. and Rosalina as they’ll appear in the film.
The upcoming Nintendo Direct presentation will probably show a new trailer for the Super Mario Bros. Movie, introduce new characters, and maybe even reveal who voices them. While rumors and leaks point to Yoshi appearing in the film, he hasn’t been shown in any footage yet.
The next Super Mario movie, a sequel to the 2023 hit, is planned for release on April 3, 2026. That’s nearly three years after the first film came out.
