In 007 First Light, you can try out Tactical Simulations – a special mode where you put your James Bond skills to the test with increasingly difficult missions. These simulations are enjoyable, offer high replay value, and let you earn exclusive currency to unlock upgrades and new outfits!
In 007 First Light, you can buy new outfits, weapons, and upgrades for your gadgets, but these are only available in TacSim mode, which you can access from the Main Menu.
The Intel Shop in 007 First Light, Explained
You’ll find the Intel Shop in the Tactical Simulations area, right before you go down the stairs to the simulation room. Once you visit, you’ll have lots of choices! This is where you can buy cosmetic items and upgrades for your experience.

You can buy items in the Intel Shop using Intel, but you’ll also need the appropriate Clearance Level. Here’s an explanation of both and how to obtain them!
How to Get Intel & Clearance Level in 007 First Light
You can earn Intel and Clearance by finishing simulation missions in TacSim mode, accessed through the Mission Selector. There are two initial sets of missions, with more becoming available as you advance the main storyline.
Escalations
Think of these as quick challenges to test your abilities – like fighting, sneaking, or thinking on your feet. Each challenge has three levels, and they become harder as you go. Completing these challenges also earns you extra rewards in the form of Intel.
Operations
As a huge fan, I’m really excited about the Operations! They’re basically like extra little missions – you get thrown into a cool environment with specific goals, and you have to complete them, just like the main story. But a big heads-up: these are definitely for when you’ve finished the story campaign! While you’re tackling them, you’ll also earn Intel by completing challenges and Clearance XP to level up. It’s a great way to keep playing after the credits roll!
Both Escalations and Operations modes feature global leaderboards. Aim for the fastest time and prove you’re the top 00 agent!
