The Elder Scrolls: Blades Is Shutting Down in June After Years of Struggles

Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls: Blades will close for good on June 30, 2026. The game is no longer available to download from any app stores, bringing its six-year lifespan to an end.

Okay, so I just heard the best news! Until the game shuts down, everything – seriously, everything – in the game is going to cost just 1 Gem or 1 Sigil. And that’s not all – they’re giving every single player a free pack of both Gems and Sigils! It’s like a final thank you from the developers, and it’s awesome!

The developers thanked their community and hoped that they “enjoyed your time in Blades.”

Concerns were also raised about the game relying too heavily on in-app purchases and not offering much that was new or original.

The Elder Scrolls: Castles is a mobile game where you build and manage a dynasty through multiple generations. You can still download and play it now.
