Starting March 14, 2025, Sony is making available for pre-order a special, limited edition DualSense controller inspired by The Last of Us, which will be released by PlayStation.
PlayStation unveiled a fresh DualSense Wireless controller celebrating the Last of Us series. This special edition controller was developed in close partnership with Naughty Dog’s creative team. The controller boasts shiny trophy symbols all over its body, symbolizing renowned groups such as the Fireflies and Washington Liberation Front among others.
Members from Naughty Dog’s Studio Head, Creative Head Neil Druckmann, and Graphic Designer Megan Mehran shared insights on the exclusive Last of Us DualSense controller. The developers aimed to balance the designs for both games and identified three key elements for the trophy icons: Firefly, moth, and wolf. The Firefly symbol is the iconic graffiti logo from the first game, whereas the moth and wolf signify the interconnected lives and dual nature of Ellie and Abby in Part II, symbolizing their complex relationship.
The Last of Us Limited Edition DualSense Controller Price and Where to Buy
The special edition DualSense controller for The Last of Us, will only be available in a small amount and is set to cost $84.99, €84.99 or £74.99. Players who are excited can reserve this wireless gamepad from March 14th for their collection.
The PlayStation controller is set to go live on direct.playstation.com at 7 a.m. Pacific Time in the United States, and at 10 a.m. local time across the U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg on the same day. This marks its official launch, which is scheduled for April 10th. Players can secure their controller from participating retailers then. However, please note that release dates might differ based on country or region.
