Summary
- Vegeta has never fought Piccolo, despite his newfound power in Dragon Ball Super Orange form.
- Vegeta and Adult Gohan have never had an all-out battle, with Gohan’s Beast form now making the hypothetical fight more interesting.
- Vegeta never faced Dyspo, but considering his strength in the Tournament of Power, Dyspo wouldn’t be much of a threat.
In the annals of Dragon Ball lore, Vegeta has encountered some formidable opponents. Ranging from Frieza and Cell to Toppo and Jiren, he consistently seeks out combats that challenge his abilities. Whether it’s settling old scores or merely showcasing his might, Vegeta seldom shies away from a fight.
Despite numerous battles throughout his series, there are some remarkably potent characters he hasn’t encountered yet. Some of these were formidable villains that he simply didn’t cross paths with, while others were allies who never had a reason to engage in combat against him. Regardless, it’s intriguing to ponder over the numerous powerful characters Vegeta has somehow missed out on over the years.
1. Piccolo
The Most Beloved Namekian
Initially, Piccolo was among the most powerful fighters in the Dragon Ball series. However, by the time of the Buu Saga, he had noticeably lagged behind characters such as Goku and Vegeta. Despite being a proficient strategist and instructor, Piccolo didn’t possess the same level of power as the Saiyans. This changed in Dragon Ball Super, where his Orange Piccolo transformation allowed him to match their strength.
Although they’ve been together for years, Vegeta and this character have never had an actual confrontation. They’ve sparred and teamed up, but a genuine fight has always eluded them. With Piccolo now boasting strength on par with the gods in his Orange form, a clash between these two would be more intriguing than ever before.
2. Adult Gohan
A Half-Saiyan With Limitless Potential
Vegeta has previously clashed with Gohan when the latter was still young during the Saiyan Saga. At that time, Gohan demonstrated remarkable untapped power, yet he wasn’t nearly powerful enough to genuinely compete against Vegeta. As they grew and trained together, they’ve engaged in numerous skirmishes, but a full-scale adult duel between them has yet to occur.
Initially, from Dragon Ball Super’s debut up until the Tournament of Power’s conclusion, Vegeta consistently showed greater strength compared to Gohan, making a fight between them seem less competitive. However, with the introduction of his Beast form, Gohan has significantly increased his fighting potential, potentially matching Vegeta’s power level in a fair contest. If they were to engage in a full-out battle, it could very well become one of the most thrilling fights in Dragon Ball lore.
3. Dyspo
Universe 11’s Fastest Fighter
I, an observer, found myself witnessing Dyspo’s formidable presence during the Tournament of Power in Universe 11. His speed, unmatched among many, allowed him to overpower his adversaries with ease. Though not the strongest member of the Pride Troopers, his knack for blitzing opponents and adapting swiftly mid-battle made him a significant challenge. In fact, he pushed Gohan and Frieza to collaborate just to subdue him.
Although Vegeta played an essential part in the Tournament of Power, he never encountered Dyspo. Given that Vegeta managed to defeat Toppo, a God of Destruction, it can be assumed that Dyspo would not have posed much of a challenge for him.
4. Evil Buu
A Short-Lived But Memorable Version Of Buu
Among all the forms of Majin Buu, Evil Buu was the one with the shortest lifespan yet was incredibly fearsome. After consuming Good Buu, he metamorphosed into Super Buu, significantly enhancing his power and intellect. However, prior to this absorption, Evil Buu existed independently – a being that Vegeta never had an opportunity to battle.
When Vegeta returned to combat against Buu, he was already squaring off against more powerful variants such as Super Buu and Kid Buu. Although Evil Buu didn’t last long, his immense power and brutal demeanor made him an intriguing character. It would have been a thrilling battle to witness, even if it was just for a brief moment, but it’s doubtful Vegeta could have emerged victorious at that time.
5. Android 16
A Powerful Yet Peaceful Robot
During the Android Saga, Android 16 stood out among other fighters due to his immense power, which was designed primarily to eliminate Goku. Unlike Android 17 and 18 who enjoyed battles for amusement, Android 16 was a cool-headed, strategic fighter with extraordinary strength and resilience. He even posed a significant challenge to Cell before meeting his end.
During that period, Vegeta was fixated on demonstrating his prowess to all, yet he never engaged in combat with Android 16. This was primarily because 16 was tranquil by nature and preferred avoiding unnecessary fights. Given 16’s strength, it can be assumed that a Vegeta before the Hyperbolic Time Chamber wouldn’t have stood a good chance against him.
6. Cell Max
The Most Terrifying Version Of Cell
Cell Max was specifically engineered as an unrivaled powerhouse, outperforming the original Cell significantly in sheer strength. However, he lacked the strategic thinking of his predecessor, being more of a mindless beast instead of a tactical fighter. Regardless, his immense power caused significant problems for Ultimate Gohan, Piccolo, and the Gammas in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
In the end, Vegeta didn’t get a chance to fight this version of Cell, because Gohan swiftly defeated him after transforming into his Beast form. It’s tough to predict how Vegeta would have done against this beast, as not even Super Namekian Piccolo could hold up against him in his Orange form.
7. Eis Shenron
A Powerful Trickster

In the world of Dragon Ball GT, Eis Shenron wasn’t the strongest among the Shadow Dragons, but he was undeniably the most crafty. Unlike his brother Nuova, who battled with honor, Eis often resorted to trickery and underhanded tactics. He even struck a low blow against Super Saiyan 4 Goku, causing him temporary blindness, demonstrating that he couldn’t be relied upon for fair play.
In the series GT, Vegeta played a significant role, but interestingly enough, he never crossed paths with Eis Shenron. Instead, it was primarily Goku who dealt with the Shadow Dragons individually. Given Vegeta’s stern nature compared to Goku, it seems plausible that he wouldn’t have been as susceptible to Eis’ underhanded strategies as Goku was.
