TON Society Partnered With HumanCode for Joint $5 Million Digital Verification Program

In the next five years, the collaboration between TON developer groups and a pioneering digital verification startup aims to provide secure and unalterable digital identity solutions for up to 500 million Telegram users.

TON Society, HumanCode introduce $5 million palm-scanning program

At the Hong Kong Web3 Festival onward, TON Society – a network of groups advancing TON‘s future – announced a prolonged partnership with HumanCode, an AI firm.

The Ton Society is teaming up with HumanCode, a leading AI tech firm, to revolutionize how people confirm their identities online. Ton Society is providing $1 million in incentives for users to go through this process. But why is this significant? Let’s delve deeper below.— TON 💎 (@ton_blockchain) April 8, 2024

To spread the word about this collaboration within the TON community, TON Society is providing an incentive program worth one million Toncoins (around $5 million) to encourage the adoption of Proof of Personhood.

Through HumanCode’s integration into TON‘s network, Toncoin users are given the option to confirm their human identity on the blockchain as an added layer of security.

This technology allows for swift and effortless palm scanning on any smartphone or browser, adaptable to various cameras and skin tones. Within mere seconds, it verifies that the user is indeed human through a palm scan, ensuring privacy as no identifying information is revealed.

Dr. Zhang, the founder of HumanCode, is excited about the potential partnership between his platform and the TON Society community.

For several decades, I’ve collaborated with top tech firms globally, developing bots for search engines and social media. However, the advent of bots poses a substantial threat to the internet. Effective countermeasures against automated traffic are highly sought-after. While alternatives exist, HumanCode’s palm verification system ensures enhanced user privacy without needing special equipment. With approximately 900 million monthly active users, we firmly believe Telegram is the ideal platform for driving widespread adoption of web3. We’re thrilled about HumanCode contributing to the TON community.

In simpler terms, the funds from the grant scheme will be allocated among the individuals involved in different stages of the palm scanning project.

Protecting reputation management and ID systems from bots

Ekin Tuna, the Growth Director at TON Foundation, underscores the significant role of the program in the TON blockchain ecosystem, benefiting not only TON users but also developers building decentralized applications (dApps) on TON.

Utilizing proof of personhood protocols such as Humancode contributes to establishing a functional reputation system in our community, which is beneficial for all newcomers to the Web3 ecosystem in Telegram. By implementing an identity solution that is both scalable, private, and decentralized, we aim to bring onboard the first billion users to this platform. We are eager to explore the potential applications this will create for our community members and TON developers.

HumanCode aims to create a decentralized identity system that prioritizes privacy using unobtrusive technology. This initiative aspires to develop a digital identity network centered around individuals, ultimately serving over one billion users in the era of artificial intelligence.

Adding this solution into TON‘s technological framework will significantly increase the platform’s transparency and safeguards against manipulation.
