Top Ripple Executive Steps Down

As a seasoned crypto investor with a keen eye for talent and a knack for spotting potential, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia reading about Emi Yoshikawa’s departure from Ripple. Her journey at the company, starting as a Director of Joint Venture Partnership in 2016 to her recent role as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, mirrors my own investment journey with Ripple and XRP.

Emi Yoshikawa, who holds the position of Vice President for Strategy and Operations at Ripple, has decided to leave the company.

Starting in 2016, Yoshikawa, a Harvard Business School alumna, began working for the company as Director of Joint Venture Partnership. She was later promoted to Senior Director of Joint Venture Partnership. In March 2019, she moved on to become Senior Director of Global Operations. Then, in October 2020, she climbed the ladder to assume the role of Vice President of Strategy and Operations before ultimately reaching her final position as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives.

For eight years at Ripple, she significantly contributed to the creation of their strategic plan and also showcased leadership and advocacy through her insights.

Besides her role, she is part of the governing body for SBI Ripple Asia, a strategic partnership between the significant Japanese financial entity, SBI, and the innovative American corporation based in San Francisco.

Yoshikawa expressed gratitude and pride on his social media, stating that it was fortunate for him to be associated with this pioneering company during its crucial growth phase in the industry. Moreover, he mentioned his involvement with the remarkable XRP and XRPL community.

Yoshikawa recounts with clarity her experiences of the initial live Ripple Payments transactions, the inaugural Swell gatherings, the first XRP gathering held in Tokyo, and the debut event of APEX in Las Vegas.

As I transition away from Ripple, my fervor for XRP/L stays undiminished, and I’m eagerly cheering on this remarkable community every step of the way.
