According to U.Today, the controversial HBO documentary released recently by Hoback has been linked to Todd being identified as Satoshi. Due to security worries after the documentary’s release, it is said that the Canadian developer chose to disappear from public view.
Todd’s funny social media post features two consecutive photos: one of the Satoshi statue (depicting a hooded figure working on a laptop) and another of Hoback adopting a similar pose. He jokingly suggested, “It seems they accidentally unveiled the true identity of Satoshi.

After the highly anticipated documentary’s premiere, the Canadian developer criticized Hoback, saying he was “reaching for excuses” with his points.
According to U.Today’s report, the investigative filmmaker presented some doubtful findings, such as a post on the BitcoinTalk forum and the ongoing controversy surrounding the John Dillon character.
Afterward, Todd additionally shared pictures of himself participating in outdoor pursuits with Wired.com, which coincided with the time when Satoshi was posting on the legendary BitcoinTalk forum.
Despite the backlash, Hoback is refusing to back away from his controversial theory, claiming that Todd is “a master of game theory.”
In summary, it seems there’s general agreement among people that the HBO documentary didn’t offer any fresh insights, and the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, the Bitcoin creator, still eludes us.
