Toronto Ultra Hosting $25k Warzone Tournament This Weekend

As a seasoned Call of Duty fan who has been following Toronto Ultra since their inception, I must say that I am thrilled to see them hosting the Hot Drop Warzone tournament. Sponsored by Monster Energy and featuring some of the best players in the world, it’s going to be an electrifying showdown!

Toronto Ultra, much like several other squads, is currently in a quiet phase during the Call of Duty League’s off-season. As they await the arrival of the upcoming season, players concentrating on teamwork are participating in the Black Ops 6 beta. Meanwhile, the Warzone division is actively organizing a fresh competition known as Hot Drop.

Where Are We Dropping?

Under the patronage of Monster Energy, we have an exciting announcement: The Hot Drop tournament, boasting a grand prize of $25,000, is set to showcase some of the globe’s top gaming talents. Among them are the Esports World Cup champions, Biffle, Shifty, and Soka.

In this Warzone tournament, teams usually land in Urzikstan and try to score points by getting kills and doing well in matches. Bonus points are given for victories. The first team to accumulate 125 points and subsequently win their last match will be the champions and receive a trophy along with a $10,000 prize.

This is the most popular layout for esports competitions based on battle royale games, and even beginners can easily grasp the progression of events as they occur.

The Hot Drop competition precedes the World Series of Warzone Global Finals happening this month in Las Vegas. It’s worth noting that last year, this event took place in the UK for the first time in many years, making it the initial Call of Duty tournament to transpire across the Atlantic Ocean in a while.

To catch Hot Drop as it premieres on September 9, simply tune in to Toronto Ultra’s Twitch stream for an exciting viewing experience.
