Oh, Pi2Day. Once a mysterious combination of numbers (cough, June 28, because 3.14 x 2 = 6.28—math fans, try to contain yourselves), now an annual excuse for the Pi Network to toss confetti and actually do productive things. Yes, instead of just swanning about announcing “We’re still here!”, the team came serenading the community with—wait for it—actual app-building toys. Cue applause. 👏
Star of the party: Pi App Studio. Imagine an AI co-pilot that lets you create apps without touching code, keys, or caffeine. All you do is tell it what you want (ideally not world domination, let’s keep it civil), and boom: your app pops out, complete with all the blockchainy bits politely running in stealth mode. The only line of code you’ll write is a grocery list.
Happy Pi2Day 2025! Today, Pi has introduced two exciting features to the ecosystem and provided various tech and product updates. First, Pi App Studio is an AI-powered platform that enables anyone to create Pi apps without coding—created to solve problems the world faces as AI…

Supporters aren’t just cheerleaders now—they’ve been given actual skin in the game with the Ecosystem Directory Staking tool. Instead of shouting “That app’s rubbish!” on forums, you literally stake your Pi coins on the apps you trust. If your app tanks, so do your tokens. Survival of the most stakable.
While everyone was busy playing around with the shiny new toys, the devs quietly (and probably with substantial snacks) rolled out new Node software, added a mysterious “third-party onramp”, stretched out the .pi Domains Auction for another indefinite eternity, and somehow made mainnet migration less like waiting for a new season of your favorite show.
Naturally, there’s also the Pi2Day Ecosystem Challenge, which sounds like an obstacle course but is really a way for Pioneers to mess with the new tools, prove they exist, and collect digital treats—minus the calories.
Bottom line? Pi2Day is now less about hypothetical mathematical puns and more about people actually, finally, doing stuff. A pin on the calendar that’s starting to mean something… Stay tuned for next year’s “Pi4Fun”, when presumably they’ll let you build rockets by singing.
