As a long-time Twitch enthusiast with countless hours invested in watching my favorite streamers, I find myself constantly intrigued by the platform’s ever-evolving dynamics. The latest saga involving Ac7ionman, Ice Poseidon, and Adin Ross has certainly caught my attention.

Due to his decision to broadcast Ice Poseidon, who is a well-known streamer famous for his real-life content, on his channel, Ac7ionman has been prohibited from using Twitch. In the past, Ice Poseidon was banned from Twitch in 2017 due to a serious swatting event.

Although Twitch is generally recognized as the top streaming platform, it frequently encounters criticism due to inconsistencies in how bans are enforced. For instance, well-known streamers like Amouranth and InvaderVie have each experienced ten bans, with these suspensions typically being brief. This continuous problem has sparked curiosity about why these content creators, who appear to often breach the rules, don’t receive harsher penalties. In contrast, there are numerous instances of Twitch imposing unfair bans, with a recent incident even catching the attention of the CEO, prompting him to offer help to the affected streamer. However, it is important to note that Twitch does have clear guidelines in place, such as prohibiting banned streamers from appearing as guests on other channels.

Recently, Twitch banned me (Ac7ionman) for a few days due to having Ice Poseidon on my live stream, as he’s currently banned. I knew there could be consequences, but I felt it was important to stand up for him. I believe his community and behavior have significantly changed over the past eight years, and I urged Twitch to reconsider their decision about Ice Poseidon’s ban. Additionally, I spoke out in support of Adin Ross’ reinstatement, arguing that streamers who show signs of positive change deserve a more lenient approach from Twitch.

Adin Ross and Ice Poseidon Both Seek Reinstatement of Twitch Accounts

As a passionate gamer, I’ve been keeping an eye on the latest news regarding Twitch and some popular streamers. Recently, CEO Dan Clancy hinted at the possibility of lifting Adin Ross’s permanent ban, which took place back in February 2023. Clancy seems open to discussions about Ross returning, but he wants to ensure that Ross has truly changed his ways, and isn’t just trying to take advantage of the platform again.

Based on past instances, it appears that some streamers who have been banned could potentially regain access. For example, IShowSpeed was reinstated by Twitch in October 2023 after being permanently banned in 2021 due to sexist remarks. Similarly, Donald Trump’s Twitch account was recently unbanned, which had also been banned in 2021. The CEO of Twitch has even hinted at the possibility of offering second chances to permanently banned streamers.
