Ubisoft’s Board is Launching an Investigation Into The Company

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen the rise and fall of many gaming giants. Ubisoft, once a beacon of hope for innovative and immersive gaming experiences, seems to be stumbling these days. The recent announcement that they are launching an investigation into their company is not surprising, considering the rocky road their latest releases have taken.

The leadership at Ubisoft, including their Executive Team and Board of Directors, have decided to conduct a thorough examination and investigation of the company.

As a passionate fan, I recently received some updates from the company about their recent projects. It appears that the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been delayed due to some internal challenges, and it was also mentioned that Star Wars Outlaws didn’t perform as well as expected. However, they are now taking proactive steps to enhance their operations and player-focused approach, aiming for a more efficient and effective strategic path moving forward.

Currently, Ubisoft’s stock stands at 11.42 euros, marking a significant drop in recent months. Last month, TopMob warned that XDefiant might face the withdrawal of crucial post-launch support due to declining player numbers and a relatively modest launch of Star Wars: Outlaws. This warning seems to have impacted Ubisoft’s stock price, pushing it close to its lowest level in nearly a decade.

From conversations with both present and ex-employees at Ubisoft, it seems that this move was almost predestined, as signs had been pointing towards trouble for several Ubisoft studios due to questionable management practices.
