For the first time, players can chase after the Yotei Six in any order they wish, adding an exciting layer of freedom to the gameplay experience. Moreover, a new arsenal of close-quarters weapons has been introduced, such as the kusarigama, which promises a fresh combat dynamic.

Sucker Punch Advises on Depiction of Ainu People and Culture
In a manner reminiscent to the game “Ghost of Tsushima”, both Fox and Cornell embarked on a journey to Japan, not just for research purposes, but also to collaborate with advisors on accurately portraying the Ainu people and their culture, which encompasses present-day Hokkaido. Cornell was exposed to museums and traditional crafts, while venturing into the mountains to gather wild plants. Although they have already been appointed Tourism Ambassadors for Tsushima Island, this newfound knowledge about the Ainu people might prevent any issues similar to those Ubisoft faced during the development of “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”.
Despite Ghost of Yotei being several months off, a palpable sense of excitement is building among fans. This anticipation is further fueled by the captivating footage featured in the trailer for its release date, as well as the glowing endorsement from former PlayStation and Sony executive Shuhei Yoshida. Yoshida was particularly impressed with Sucker Punch’s ability to create games that feel so effortless and intuitive, while also ensuring a smooth, bug-free gameplay experience even during early development stages.
