Buterin commended Optimism for their development of REMOTESTATICCALL and shared future aspirations like the standardization of unique on-chain addresses, ERC-3668 light clients, and on-chain specific ENS. These advancements are expected to enhance the network’s functionality and compatibility, ultimately encouraging broader adoption.

As an analyst, I’d rephrase it as follows: In response to Vitalik Buterin’s comments, I, as a crypto market trader known as Krypto Ozzy, acknowledge the advancements he mentions, but I express concern about Ethereum’s current state in this cycle. Several projects on the Ethereum mainnet and Layer 2 have unfortunately failed, leading to financial losses for approximately 80% of investors involved within the Ethereum ecosystem.

In the first half of August, the price of Ethereum dropped significantly to $2,000 before rebounding by 30% to around $2,600 at the time of reporting. Simultaneously, the cost of transactions on the Ethereum network (ETH gas fees) hit a five-year low, causing worry about a decrease in ETH burning and an increase in the overall supply of ETH.

Furthermore, developments in STARKs are shaping a more defined long-term security and decentralization blueprint.
