Vitalik’s Trustless Manifesto: Ethereum’s New Bible or Just More Larry Drama? 😂

So, Vitalik Buterin, the guy who probably still gets ID’d at bars, is now pushing this “Trustless Manifesto” like it’s the new keto diet for Ethereum. 🥗 The Ethereum Foundation (EF) dropped this bombshell on X (yeah, that’s what they’re calling it now, don’t ask me why 🤷‍♂️), claiming it’s gonna make Ethereum more decentralized than a hippie commune in the ’70s. 🌈

What’s This Manifesto Nonsense Anyway?

Apparently, Vitalik and his brainy buddies Yoav Weiss and Marissa Posner finally got around to writing down what they’ve been yapping about for years. 🗣️ You know, because nothing says “trustless” like a manifesto that’s been sitting in the “drafts” folder since 2015. 📝 Now they’re slapping it onchain like it’s a sticker on a laptop. 💻

1/ Today, The Account Abstraction Team & @VitalikButerin are publishing something we’ve talked about for years but never wrote down clearly enough:

The Trustless Manifesto.

And we’re putting it where it belongs: onchain.

The whole point? To remind everyone that decentralization is like a vegan diet-hard to stick to but supposedly worth it. 🌱 Developers are basically being told, “Hey, stop adding intermediaries like they’re free samples at Costco.” 🛒 Apparently, hosted nodes and centralized relayers are the fast food of crypto-tempting but bad for your health. 🍔

EF’s take? “Trustlessness is not a feature to add after the fact. It is the thing itself.” Deep, right? 🧘‍♂️ Also, they warn that every line of “convenience code” could turn into a choke point. So, basically, don’t be lazy, or Ethereum will turn into a traffic jam on the 405. 🚗

Oh, and They Killed Holešky. RIP. 💀

In other news, the EF decided to pull the plug on Holešky, their testnet that was basically the beta version of Ethereum’s wild dreams. 🛠️ Apparently, it had more issues than a reality TV show-validator inactivity leaks, exit queues longer than a Black Friday line… you name it. 🛑 So, they said, “Enough!” and shut it down after the Fusaka upgrade. 🛡️

PeerDAS, the new hotness, is supposed to make validators’ lives easier by cutting bandwidth requirements. 🌐 But let’s be real, if it doesn’t come with a free latte, are validators even interested? ☕

So there you have it. Ethereum’s trying to stay pure, but let’s see if they can resist the siren call of convenience. 🧜‍♂️ Until then, I’ll be over here eating my popcorn and waiting for the drama. 🍿
