There’s unusual activity happening in the crypto market, but it’s not typical retail excitement. We’re seeing a large number of big-volume transactions – ‘whale’ activity – across several alternative cryptocurrencies, and the timing of it all seems quite strange.
Large cryptocurrency transactions – those worth over $100,000 – have significantly increased in the last week across a range of popular cryptocurrencies. The data reveals substantial increases almost everywhere we look. Although prices haven’t jumped dramatically yet, these transactions suggest a deliberate and strategic move by large investors. It appears they are positioning themselves carefully and with a clear purpose.
Whale Transactions Explode Across Major Altcoins
Several cryptocurrencies recently experienced significant increases in large transactions, often referred to as “whale” activity. Cronos (CRO) led the way with a remarkable 650% jump, closely followed by 1Inch (1INCH) at 600% and Injective (INJ) with a 400% increase. Other coins also saw substantial gains, including Vision (VSN), OriginTrail (TRAC), Immutable X (IMX), Floki (FLOKI), and Fluid (FLUID), which all rose between 137% and 300%.
USDC also saw a huge increase, jumping over 1000%, but honestly, big moves in stablecoins aren’t usually a sign of a promising opportunity.
What’s really important is tracking where investors are putting their money. Currently, they’re heavily investing in altcoins that haven’t received much attention recently.

Prices Stalling While Whales Keep Buying
Now, here’s the surprising part. Even with all the recent movement, most of these investments haven’t increased much in value. Some have even decreased a little bit in the last day.
The difference between rising large transactions and stable prices is a common pattern. When big investors are buying (accumulating) instead of selling (distributing), you’ll often see a lot of large purchases happening when prices are low or holding steady. These investors don’t jump in when prices are already going up; they prefer to buy when things are calm, uneventful, and even a little risky.
Several cryptocurrencies are currently trading around important support levels. CRO is near $0.0709, 1INCH is around $0.093, and INJ is defending $2.99. While these tokens haven’t broken below these levels, they haven’t managed to push higher either – they’re currently stuck in a holding pattern.

Support Levels Holding As Accumulation Builds Quietly
Looking at the bigger picture, VSN is still showing signs of an upward trend, even with some small dips. TRAC is trading within a narrow range and seeing decreasing trading activity. IMX is attempting to rise above $0.142 to prevent further price declines, and FLOKI is at a critical point after a long period of falling prices.
FLUID is currently holding steady around $1.45, with some activity suggesting someone is actively trying to maintain that price level. This is happening as large cryptocurrency transactions are also increasing, hinting at potential underlying interest or movement.
What happens now? Typically, when we see a large increase in big cryptocurrency transactions – often called ‘whale’ activity – it leads to price swings. This doesn’t happen instantly, but it usually does happen relatively quickly.
If these key price levels remain stable, these seemingly quiet charts could suddenly start to climb. If those levels break down, however, the recent large transactions might indicate a major shift in the market – one that’s different from what most traders are anticipating. Regardless, significant increases in large transactions don’t happen without a reason.
