As a huge Super Meat Boy 3D fan, I’m always on the hunt for bandages – they’re how you unlock all the cool new characters! I’ve put together a guide to help you find every single one of the 15 bandages hidden in The Core, which is the fourth world. Just remember, there’s one bandage per level, but you have to finish the level after grabbing it for it to actually unlock. Trust me, some of these are really tricky to find, so be prepared to retry levels a bunch of times!
In Super Meat Boy 3D, bandages aren’t always visible, so explore areas you can’t immediately see. Also, pay attention to other dangers – they might be hiding a bandage or a secret path.
Level 1 – Vermis Veins Bandage
As you progress through Vermis Veins and encounter the area with grubs moving horizontally and vertically, you’ll find the Bandage close by. It’s located in a small alcove under some grinders, but the biggest challenge is avoiding the large grubs as you approach.
Level 2 – Coreborn Cavern Bandage
Okay, so after a bunch of tricky jumps off those blue walls, you’re flying towards these grinders. There’s a stone platform right in front of them, but honestly, you can skip that! If you aim down a little on your first jump, there’s a lower platform you can land on, and that’s where the Bandage is hidden. Grab that, and you’re pretty much home free – the finish line is super close after that!
Level 3 – Ruinous Tunnel Bandage
In the Ruinous Tunnel level, you’ll find a Bandage immediately after the first climb. Look for it on the right, near a yellow stained glass window. Be careful – moving spike balls and floor grinders are in the area. To continue, you’ll need to head back to the left.
Level 4 – Runeforge Abyss Bandage
During the Runeforge Abyss level, players will need to fly past two grinders. The Bandage is located directly below them. Be careful of the moving spike balls above the Bandage! Nate’s double jump ability makes this section much easier.
Level 5 – Sinew Spans Bandage
As you approach the finish, you’ll encounter a launcher, a wall for bouncing, and moving platforms. These platforms take you to the end of the mission, but you can also jump back and to the right to discover a Bandage hidden high on the wall.
Level 6 – Wormscalation Bandage
As you progress through the Wormscaltion level, you’ll reach an area with platforms that move from side to side, and grubs traveling back and forth. The Bandage is located on a wall to your right.
Level 7 – Magma Wastes Bandage
You’ll spot the Bandage for Magma Wastes pretty quickly. The first challenge involves blocks that flip back and forth. Just to the right of the main platform, you’ll find the Bandage on the far side of a pillar.

Level 8 – Frogs Bandage
The Frogs Bandage in Super Meat Boy 3D is found near the level’s end. Instead of tackling the tower of grinders, look for a tower to the left with a yellow stained glass window you can break. The Bandage is hidden inside. Playing as Nate makes this level – and many others in the notoriously difficult game – a bit easier.
Level 9 – Lava Torment Bandage
Once you break through the yellow stained glass window in Lava Torment, the Bandage is close by. It’s located in a small alcove to the left, but you’ll need to quickly grab it while avoiding rolling spikes and rising lava. Luckily, the level ends soon after, and skilled players with fast characters like Ed can even achieve an A+ rank.
Level 10 – Glass Shards Bandage
You can find the Bandage of Glass Shards right after the first jump where you break through glass. Once you’ve gone through, quickly turn left and jump over the gap and the grinder to reach a small tunnel – the bandage is inside. Alternatively, you can fly directly to this tunnel from the beginning of the fall instead of breaking the glass.
Level 11 – Donut Of Destruction Bandage
Just before reaching the final, breakable yellow glass, players can grab a Bandage from a blue platform on the right. But doing so adds more pink donuts to the obstacles they need to avoid.
Level 12 – Burn Voyage Bandage
Once players exit the final portal, they’ll land on a platform flanked by moving grinders. To continue, they can head right towards a wall. Further to the right is a black launch pad. Using this pad will launch them towards the Bandage, which is positioned above a small wall that can be used to bounce back to safety.
Level 13 – Snakes On A Portal Bandage
The second time players scale the vertical wall, they’re meant to head through a portal on the left side. But, if you climb over the wall and go right, you’ll find another area with the Bandage. Nate makes it easier to jump over the wall and back.
Level 14 – Wormhole Mayhem Bandage
Okay, so there’s this tricky part in the Wormhole Mayhem level – you have to climb up the inside of this huge tower. But before you even think about climbing, you absolutely need to grab the Bandage that’s to the left of it. Honestly, it’s pretty tough because you’re getting swarmed by ghost worms while you’re trying to do it! I’ve found that Skeleton Boy is the best character for this section. He’s just so light and speedy, it’s way easier to dodge those worms with him.
This is easily one of the hardest Bandages in all of Super Meat Boy 3D.
Level 15 – Wormageddon Bandage
Once players reach the top inside of the tower, they’ll need to quickly run across and between several grinders. The Bandage needed for the Wormageddon level is located high above two of these grinders. It’s tricky to grab and hold onto with the ghost worms flying around, so using the wall to the right as a jumping-off point is highly recommended.
A good strategy is to hide under the grinder on the right to prepare for an attack, because the worm that appears there will always fail if you’re hidden. We still recommend Skeleton Boy for this level, but Ed is also a solid choice. Both characters are helpful for getting A+ scores in Super Meat Boy 3D.
