TFH has announced its intention to prolong its operational halt in Spain until at least the end of 2024, or until the BayLDA consultation process is finalized. In March, the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) imposed a provisional measure requiring TFH to stop gathering and processing data associated with the Worldcoin Project.

On June 6, TFH revealed the findings from a survey conducted among 21,000 authentic World ID users via the app at the end of May. The company posed queries concerning Worldcoin, human verification, biometric information, and data security acquisition.

As a crypto investor, I’ve come across some intriguing data regarding Worldcoin. Based on a recent survey, approximately three out of every four respondents believed that this project could contribute to building a safer and more secure internet. A substantial 73% expressed their optimistic views, while around one in five were still undecided.

Approximately 82% of those surveyed expressed the belief that technologies like Worldcoin/World ID are crucial for separating humans from bots on the internet. A smaller group, amounting to 13%, shared that they were undecided on this matter. Additionally, a vast majority, or 81% of the respondents, indicated feeling secure in utilizing Worldcoin. An impressive 87% of those surveyed expressed strong backing for the resumption of Worldcoin’s operations within their country.

As a researcher conducting a study on the usage and perception of World ID technology among Spanish internet users, I was thrilled to discover that over 80% of the 21,000 surveyed expressed belief in the significance of such technologies for distinguishing bots from humans online. Furthermore, approximately 90% voiced their support for the project’s planned return to Spain. Global Compliance And Adoption

In the announcement, TFH emphasized the worldwide endorsement it has gained on this issue. More notably, surveys conducted in Peru, Mexico, and Colombia indicate that approximately 80% of the participants expressed their approval for requiring proof of authentic human identity to mitigate online deception and identity theft.

The findings suggest a mounting anxiety among respondents regarding the prevalence of bots, fraud, and misinformation on the internet. They view technology designed to authenticate human presence online as indispensable for the future. Furthermore, they expressed a preference for consuming content they believe originated from humans and advocated for the development of technology that can distinguish between human-generated and automated content.

The expansive influence of the Worldcoin project has drawn criticism and concern on a global scale. According to Bitcoinist, the Hong Kong data protection authority, specifically the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD), has issued a directive to Worldcoin demanding that they halt their operations.
