Reports from Chinese media and sources suggest that the team behind the game Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, at Leenzee, has disbanded.
As Eurogamer reported, Xia Siyuan, the producer and director of the PS5 game, left the company earlier this year. Following his departure, employees were informed they would be reassigned to either outsourced projects or support roles on other games.
It seems the majority of the staff weren’t willing to switch to different tasks, which led to the Wuchang development team being dissolved.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers sold very well after it came out in Summer 2025. 505 Games, the publisher, reported strong sales numbers. Although no extra content like downloadable expansions was officially planned, many people expected Leenzee to continue supporting the game after launch.
The development team last communicated in November 2025, promising ongoing improvements and a collaborative effort to make the game better. They expressed deep gratitude for players’ continued support. No updates have been released since then.
In our review of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers for PS5, we gave it a 6 out of 10 and said it was “enjoyable enough,” but noted some major performance issues. The developers have promised to fix these problems with updates after the game’s release.
