Xbox Game Pass Activision Game Wish List

Highlights

  • Activision games hitting Xbox Game Pass benefits gamers, despite recent layoffs in both companies.
  • Fans eagerly await more Activision titles like Spyro and Call of Duty on Game Pass.
  • Xbox Game Pass Ultimate offers over 100 games for a single purchase, a great value for gamers.

As a long-time gamer, I’ve seen my fair share of console acquisitions and exclusive deals that left me feeling like a jilted lover. But Microsoft’s recent foray into the Activision-Blizzard realm has got me all tingly with anticipation. The thought of playing Diablo 4, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and even the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on my Xbox Game Pass is a dream I never knew I had!

Approximately ten months have elapsed since Microsoft purchased Activision-Blizzard, and there remains a significant amount of ambiguity regarding this deal. The subsequent months have been marked by numerous layoffs, affecting not only studios from Activision-Blizzard but also the first-party developers of Xbox. Regrettably, these redundancies do nothing to assist those affected, but at least gamers are beginning to experience some advantages as a result of this costly acquisition by Xbox, with select Activision games now becoming available on Xbox Game Pass.

Initially, when Microsoft purchased Activision-Blizzard, many enthusiasts anticipated that some of Activision’s previous games might become accessible through Xbox Game Pass. Although it took a while, this is now becoming a reality, with the launch of “Diablo 4” in March serving as the initial step. Since then, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” has been incorporated into Xbox Game Pass, and more recently, the “Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy” has joined the subscription service. However, fans are eager for even more Activision games to be included on Game Pass.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy

After the success of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy joining Xbox Game Pass, it’s a logical next step for Spyro Reignited Trilogy to follow suit. Spyro the Dragon started as a PlayStation icon, but has since made appearances on various platforms. Adding the Spyro Reignited Trilogy to Xbox Game Pass would once again demonstrate Xbox’s commitment to bridging the gaps between different console publishers.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2

A critically acclaimed remake, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is a must-have Activision game for Xbox Game Pass. While fans will have already played more than their fill of this 2020 collection, many gamers have never tried the Tony Hawk Pro Skater franchise, and Xbox Game Pass clears those barriers to entry. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is also one of the best-reviewed Activision games in recent years, so its launch on Game Pass would go a long way in making the recent acquisition feel a bit more worthwhile to general consumers.

Call of Duty

As an avid Call of Duty fan, I’m eagerly waiting for more titles from this iconic series to grace Xbox Game Pass. The release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 opened a small crack in the dam, and now the floodgates are ready to burst wide open! It seems strategic for both Xbox and Activision to start by adding entries that contribute directly to the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 storyline, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and the more recent Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. However, many of us fans are anticipating a day when the entire franchise finds its home on Xbox Game Pass.

Prototype

Neglected by some, Activision’s franchise Prototype might witness a vibrant comeback if it becomes part of Xbox Game Pass. Originally launched in 2009, Prototype is an action-adventure game where players command a shapeshifter called Alex Mercer with an enigmatic past. The sequel released in 2012 didn’t get as much praise but both games have their standout moments and could benefit from the renewed attention that only Game Pass can offer.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Even though Xbox Game Pass boasts numerous games similar to Souls series, it urgently requires a genuine FromSoftware title, and _Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice_, published by Activision, would be an ideal fit. Unlike its predecessors _Dark Souls_ and _Bloodborne_, _Sekiro_ stands out in several significant aspects. A challenging yet fair game, it offers some of the most rewarding sword combat found in video games thus far.
