Xbox Game Pass has added the popular game Tiny Bookshop to its library of cozy games. It’s the fifth game added in April 2026 and the 59th new game added to the service so far this year.
Tiny Bookshop, created by Neoludic Games, is a 2025 game where you escape to a charming seaside town called Bookstonbury and start a small, mobile bookstore. You’ll focus on curating your book and item selection, designing your shop to attract different customers, and recommending books to the locals. As you run your business, you’ll slowly uncover the history of Bookstonbury, which gives you a reason to keep playing. With its hand-drawn art style, calming music, and cozy atmosphere, Tiny Bookshop is known for being a wonderfully relaxing experience.
Tiny Bookshop Lands on Xbox Game Pass Alongside Its Series X/S Port’s Debut
I’m so excited! Tiny Bookshop, which I originally played on PC and Switch, is finally available on Xbox Series X/S today, April 10th! And even better, it’s part of Xbox Game Pass! It’s on all tiers except the basic Essential one. You can also play it through Xbox Cloud Gaming, and the Xbox Store says it’s optimized for handheld play. This is great news because Xbox Game Pass is getting even more of those lovely, relaxing ‘cozy’ games that I love!
Tiny Bookshop was released in August 2025 to great reviews. Critics gave it a “Strong” rating on OpenCritic, with 84% of 45 reviewers recommending it and an average score of 82. By April 2026, it had also received almost 4,300 “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam. It’s considered one of the best-rated cozy games with relaxing music released in recent years.

Xbox Game Pass is adding at least eight new games before the end of April, and five of them will be available to play on the day they’re released. These include the action platformer Replaced, the multiplayer game Kiln, the sci-fi adventure Aphelion, and the deck-building game Vampire Crawlers, which is made by the creators of the popular Vampire Survivors. Hades 2 is also coming to Game Pass soon, and like Tiny Bookshop, it will be available on Xbox Series X/S on the day it’s released, even though it’s already out on PC.

We’re also planning to remove some games from the catalog soon, as we do every two weeks. The next removal will be on April 15th, and will include Grand Theft Auto 5 along with four other titles. Based on past announcements, we expect to learn which games will be added in the second wave of Xbox Game Pass releases for April 2026 around April 21st.
