Pearl Abyss has been regularly updating Crimson Desert since it launched, but many players are still hoping for improvements to the game’s indoor lighting. While Crimson Desert has been a popular release this year, some players have found it difficult to stay engaged with the game long-term.
Despite a challenging initial experience, many dedicated players consider Crimson Desert a hidden gem. A major difficulty for players has been mastering the game’s unique control scheme. Beyond that, feedback has focused on areas like the story, combat system, quest design, and the lengthy wait time to use the dragon mount. Fortunately, Pearl Abyss is actively listening to players and releasing updates based on their suggestions, and there’s hope that future improvements will include better indoor lighting.
Crimson Desert Players Are Hoping the Game’s Indoor Lighting Will Eventually Get Fixed
A Reddit user named Cearito posted a video showing how annoying the indoor lighting can be in the game Crimson Desert. The clip features the character Kliff inside a dimly lit room where a lamp creates an overly bright, orange and yellow effect. The shadows look odd and jump around, and later in the video, a glitch makes the wallpaper appear to move. Pearl Abyss, the game’s developer, has future updates planned, and many viewers commented on Cearito’s post hoping this lighting issue will be fixed quickly.
Crimson Desert’s Post-Launch Updates Will Hopefully Help Build a Stronger Game
While not flawless, Pearl Abyss’ solo adventure game, Crimson Desert, has already captivated many players. Despite some problems, the game’s popularity shows it’s been a success, and the developers are actively working to improve it based on what players are saying. Upcoming changes include things like adjustable difficulty levels, the ability to re-fight bosses, new pets and mounts, and enhancements to the characters Damiane and Oongka.
While opinions on Crimson Desert are varied, the game is proving popular with players and is currently a top title on Steam. It’s still early days to call it one of the best open-world RPGs, but planned updates are promising. Whether Pearl Abyss will address issues with lighting inside buildings and at night remains to be seen.
